Onboarding and Transition Period
This policy governs the procedures, responsibilities, and timelines applicable during the transition period following a teacher’s payment on the Beacon Tutors platform. The purpose of this policy is to ensure transparency, operational clarity, and uniform application of process standards across the network.
1. Transaction Verification and Responsibility
Upon successful submission of payment by a teacher, all transactions are subject to manual verification by the company’s sales and finance team. Verification of a transaction is dependent on the availability of accurate and traceable payment information.
Teachers are required to provide a valid and accessible email address at the time of checkout. The email address provided during payment shall serve as the primary identifier for tracking, verification, and confirmation of the transaction.
In the event that a teacher fails to provide a valid email address, or provides incorrect or inaccessible email information, the company may be unable to trace or verify the transaction. In such cases:
The transaction may remain unverified or untracked
The onboarding process may not proceed
Beacon Tutors shall bear no responsibility for any delay, loss, or inability to process such a transaction
Transaction verification by the sales team may take approximately one (1) hour up to seventy-two (72) hours, depending on payment method, processing volume, and verification requirements.
2. Verification Data Collection and Accuracy of Information
Following successful transaction verification, a verification data collection form is issued to the teacher. This form is mandatory and must be completed with accurate, factual, and complete information, to the best of the teacher’s knowledge.
The responsibility for the correctness of all information submitted in the verification form rests solely with the teacher. Beacon Tutors relies entirely on the information provided in this form to create and present the teacher’s profile.
Once submitted, the information is reviewed by the company’s verification team for inconsistencies, omissions, or apparent errors. Upon completion of this review, the teacher’s global tutor profile is created and stored within the company’s database and CRM systems.
The profile creation and verification process may take up to seven (7) business days from the date of form submission.
3. Assignment to Registered Teachers Channel
Upon confirmation of the transaction and submission of the verification form, the teacher is provided access to a Registered Teachers Channel. Each teacher is required to subscribe exclusively to the channel assigned to them.
Teachers must note that:
Each Registered Teachers Channel is managed independently
Tuition opportunities are shared only within the assigned channel
Applications are accepted only from teachers belonging to that specific channel
Teachers are strictly prohibited from applying to tuition posts shared in:
Other registered teachers’ channels
Unregistered or public channels
This structure is implemented to ensure equitable distribution of opportunities and prevent application overload.
4. Channel Management and Inquiry Distribution
Beacon Tutors receives tuition inquiries on a daily basis from multiple regions. These inquiries are segmented and distributed across multiple channels to ensure balanced visibility for all registered teachers.
The frequency of tuition posts within any individual channel may vary and is influenced by factors including, but not limited to:
Total number of inquiries received on a given day
Geographic and subject-specific demand
Channel capacity and segmentation logic
Inquiry frequency is inherently variable and unpredictable and shall not be interpreted as an indication of exclusion, inactivity, or bias toward any channel or teacher.
5. Dedicated Channel Admin Assignment
Each Registered Teachers Channel is managed by a dedicated human channel administrator, whose responsibilities include:
Posting tuition opportunities
Collecting applications
Coordinating application submissions
To ensure optimal utilization of operational resources, a dedicated channel admin is assigned only once a channel reaches a minimum of 5,000 subscribers.
Until such threshold is met:
No individual admin shall be assigned to the channel
Teachers should expect an undefined grace period during which the channel continues to function without a dedicated admin
This policy applies uniformly to all channels and all teachers, without exception.
6. Resource Allocation and Operational Rationale
The above structure is implemented to:
Maintain operational efficiency across a large-scale global network
Ensure fair access to opportunities
Prevent transactional disputes
Optimize human and technical resource allocation
Beacon Tutors operates a standardized system that applies equally to all participants and does not permit individual exceptions.
7. Limitation of Responsibility
Beacon Tutors shall not be held responsible for:
Delays arising from incorrect or missing payment information
Delays caused by incomplete or inaccurate verification forms
Variations in inquiry frequency across channels
Waiting periods associated with channel admin assignment
Participation in the platform constitutes acknowledgment and acceptance of the above procedures.
Policy Modification Clause
Beacon Tutors reserves the full and exclusive right to amend, modify, revise, or replace this policy at any time, with or without prior notice, where permitted by applicable law.
Continued use of the platform following any modification shall constitute acceptance of the revised policy.
Policy Acceptance
By completing payment and continuing with the onboarding process, the teacher confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to the terms set forth in this Teacher Onboarding and Transition Period Policy.
