Code of Conduct
1. Purpose and Scope
This Code of Conduct establishes the professional, ethical, and behavioral standards applicable to all parties engaging through Beacon Tutors, including Teachers, Students, Parents, and Freelancers.
Beacon Tutors operates as a structured international marketplace connecting academic service providers with learners. In order to maintain integrity, trust, and operational stability across this multi-party network, all participants are required to adhere strictly to the standards outlined herein.
This Code forms an integral part of the Terms and Conditions and shall be binding upon all users of the platform.
Section A: Code of Conduct for Teachers
2. Professional Conduct
Teachers shall maintain the highest standards of professional behavior in all academic and non-academic interactions conducted through the platform.
Teachers are required to:
Represent their qualifications, expertise, and experience truthfully and accurately;
Conduct sessions in a structured, respectful, and academically responsible manner;
Maintain professional boundaries at all times;
Avoid misrepresentation of credentials or instructional capability.
Professional integrity is fundamental to sustaining long-term academic relationships within the platform.
3. Punctuality and Session Commitment
Teachers are expected to demonstrate reliability and consistency in attendance and scheduling.
This includes:
Joining scheduled sessions on time;
Providing reasonable prior notice in case of unavoidable absence;
Avoiding habitual cancellation or rescheduling;
Honoring agreed academic commitments.
Repeated absence, unnotified cancellations, or irregular conduct may result in warnings, suspension, or termination of registration.

4. Academic Preparation and Integrity
Teachers must:
Prepare adequately for each lecture or academic engagement;
Align instruction with the agreed syllabus or curriculum;
Deliver accurate and responsible academic guidance;
Refrain from facilitating plagiarism or unethical academic practices.
Beacon Tutors does not support academic dishonesty under any circumstances.
5. Communication Standards
Teachers are required to maintain professional, respectful, and constructive communication at all times when interacting with Students, Parents, Freelancers, and Beacon Tutors representatives.
Professional communication includes:
Using courteous and respectful language in written, verbal, and digital communication;
Maintaining composure during academic disagreements or performance discussions;
Addressing concerns in a solution-oriented and non-confrontational manner;
Responding to feedback professionally and without hostility.
The following conduct is strictly prohibited:
Use of abusive, insulting, sarcastic, threatening, or aggressive language;
Discriminatory remarks based on nationality, religion, race, gender, accent, or academic background;
Repeated argumentative or confrontational behavior with parents or students;
Publicly criticizing students, parents, or the platform in a manner that damages professional trust;
Harassment, intimidation, or conduct creating a hostile learning environment.
Repeated complaints related to tone, attitude, or communication style may be treated as professional misconduct, regardless of academic capability.
Beacon Tutors reserves the right to review communication-related complaints and take corrective action where necessary.
6. Compliance with Platform Policies
Teachers must comply with all published policies, including but not limited to:
Terms and Conditions;
Shortlisting Policy;
Transition Policy;
Non-Circumvention Policy;
Schedule of Charges.
Failure to comply may result in disciplinary action.
Section B: Code of Conduct for Students and Parents
7. Respectful Interaction
Students and Parents are required to maintain respectful communication with Teachers and Beacon Tutors representatives.
They shall not:
Use abusive, insulting, or threatening language;
Engage in discriminatory behavior;
Harass or intimidate teachers;
Create unreasonable or hostile communication environments.
Professional and respectful interaction is essential to maintaining a productive academic relationship.
8. Payment Responsibility
Students and Parents must:
Honor agreed tuition fees and maintenance charges;
Avoid delayed or withheld payments without legitimate cause;
Refrain from attempting to bypass the official payment structure.
Failure to adhere to financial obligations may result in suspension of services.
9. Academic Transparency
Students and Parents must:
Provide accurate information regarding curriculum, syllabus, and academic expectations;
Avoid misleading representation of academic requirements;
Refrain from requesting unethical or dishonest academic assistance.
10. Demo Session Integrity
Demo sessions arranged by Beacon Tutors must be conducted in good faith.
Students and Parents shall not:
Use demo sessions to obtain unpaid academic consultation beyond reasonable evaluation;
Delay tuition confirmation intentionally to bypass platform policies;
Engage in private arrangements after demo sessions without notifying the platform.
Section C: Mutual Conduct Standards
11. Non-Discrimination
All parties agree to uphold a non-discriminatory environment irrespective of nationality, religion, race, gender, or background.
12. Confidentiality and Data Responsibility
All users must respect the confidentiality of:
Contact information;
Academic materials;
Personal data;
Platform communications.
Misuse of confidential information may result in immediate termination.
13. Prohibited Conduct
The following actions are strictly prohibited:
Fraudulent misrepresentation;
Academic dishonesty;
Circumvention of platform policies;
Misuse of personal data;
Conduct damaging to the reputation or operational integrity of Beacon Tutors.
14. Enforcement and Disciplinary Authority
Beacon Tutors reserves the right to:
Issue formal warnings;
Temporarily suspend accounts;
Permanently terminate registration;
Withhold pending payments in cases of material breach;
Take legal action where appropriate.
All enforcement decisions shall be
made at the sole discretion of the company and shall be considered final.
15. Acknowledgment
By engaging with Beacon Tutors in any capacity, all parties acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to comply with this Code of Conduct.
Failure to adhere to these standards may result in corrective or disciplinary action.
